Letter from the pastor

Dear friends,
Looking back on the Christmas celebrations both taking place at our church as well as programs that we organized in places such as the hospital, the prison, the schools, and other places, we can see that this year’s celebrations were very meaningful and joyous. The joy that we received from celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ were shared with many people in the community. Many people came to understand the true meaning of Christmas and understand about the Chritian faith through our modest activities. I am very grateful that God has continued to bless the work of our church, so that through our small efforts, we can be instruments of love and peace not only in our own church but also in the entire community. As we look back on the wonderful things that took place in our Christmas programs, the smiles on the faces of children, the words of blessings that we spoke to one another, the joyous voices singing Christmas hymns, and the friendly gestures that we showed one another, let us also open our ears and our hearts to hear the gentle reminder of the Baby Jesus, to not let Him be born only once a year, but also let Him be born at every moment in our lives, so that His presence will continue to inspire us to lead lives filled with peace and love throughout the year.
As we look forward to the New Year, let us resolve the bring the Spirit of Christmas into this New Year, a year filled with uncertainties in many respects. The world is changing in countless way – political instability, economic hardships, environmental worries continue to occupy our hearts and mind. The situation as it is, it seems that life in the new year may not be easier than the years past. However, we can courageously step into this new year with confidence that our faith in God will help us to survive the difficult challenges and remain in His grace no matter what comes our way.
